Hello there! For those of you who are new I thought I should introduce myself!

Here’s my personal story! 馃檪

I’m Amy~ I’m a busy mom of 2 awesome kids (Gigi and Rocco) and wife to a wonderful husband and partner, Matt.

I had an eating disorder in high school and since then have followed just about every fad diet possible (low fat, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto…etc. etc.). Through this, I have realized the need to stop the craziness and to listen to and nourish my body.

I’m also a long-time yogini – I’ve been practicing since I was about 15 years old. My practice has undoubtedly changed over the years, incorporating more meditation and less wheel pose. I have been teaching yoga for 20+ years on and off.

The day after I completed 200-hr yoga teacher training, I conceived my daughter after over 1.5+ years of trying! I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in College…and that made it difficult both times to conceive and also predisposed me to gestational diabetes…which I developed with my son.

Through my journey, I have researched extensively and continue to be a lifelong student. Still, more importantly, I have the lived experience of being a woman struggling with an eating disorder, fertility, and blood sugar…now headed toward perimenopause.

I, too often, talk with women who wish they would have done something before hitting menopause like a brick wall. My goal is to help women (and myself) enter perimenopause in optimal health, minimize bothersome symptoms, and remain vital, active, and healthy for years to come.

Dr. Amy Sapola helps women prepare for perimenopause by providing online education and resources.聽
