First, the packaging and presentation blew me away! I love breaking apart the dried stems with their beautiful yellow flowers to put into my tea- there’s something that just feels extra special about this experience.

Vitamins A and D are both fat soluble, meaning they are best absorbed when taken with a meal containing at least a bit of fat (~3 grams).

Vitamin A and D (I prefer Vitamin D3) regulate thyroid hormone levels and metabolism.

Vitamin A can also reduce the risk of autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's Thyroiditis) and is essential to a healthy immune system (and gut barrier function).

43-48% of progesterone in the body is bound to cortisol binding protein (CBP).

CBP preferentially binds cortisol (often called the "stress hormone") and can lead to lower circulating progesterone levels when stress levels are high.

Progesterone is what our bodies produce. Progetins are synthetic and do not have the same actions as progesterone (Prometrium)...it is important to understand in studies if they actually used progesterone or a progestin (and often it is not clear).

Progesterone metabolites activate GABA, helping to create a sense of calm and relaxation, often improvig sleep.

Increased levels of progesterone raise sulfatase activity, which increases free estrogen levels; norethindrone (a progestin) has no sulfatase activity.

MPA (another progestin) attenuates the beneficial effects of estrogens on blood vessels (estrogen causes vessels to dilate normally). MPA also INDUCES insulin resistance!!!
